C&I Engineering

From petroleum and chemical industries to pharmaceutical, food and beverage corporations, there is one common denominator and it is C&I Engineering. C&I is an employee-owned and managed company. Disciplines include Power & Controls, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Plant Design, Civil/Structural, Mechanical Engineering and Project Engineering. In addition to these disciplines C&I offers services in Construction Management, Procurement, Project Controls, Cost Estimating and Scheduling.

C&I Engineering began in October of 1983 when another large engineering consulting firm closed its doors in Louisville, Kentucky. Although several employees were offered jobs in other parts of the country, they wanted to maintain their homes in the Louisville area.

Due to our increased involvement in the refinery and petroleum industry, a Process Engineering department was added in 1991. In 1994, we relocated to our present location. This move accommodated our consistently growing staff and placed the company in a more convenient and central location, which is only a few miles from the airport.

In 1995, C&I formed a Food, Beverage, and Pharmaceutical division. In 1996, we started our first international project in India. We continued to expand our global radius by doing work in Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Today, C&I is stronger than ever and has a renewed appreciation of what it means to be an employee-owned company.
