Chem-Trend Helps Reduce Cost And Improve Efficiency For Tire Manufacturers Through Mono-Lube® Product Line Additions
Chem-Trend, a global manufacturer of release agents and other specialty chemicals, has introduced additions to its line of advanced products for the tire industry, including tire curing bladder treatments, inside tire paints and outside tire paints. Product performance attributes enhance efficiencies for tire makers by reducing defects, increasing finished output, and reduceing mould fouling.
Howell, MI (PRWEB) -- Chem-Trend, a global manufacturer of release agents and other process chemical specialties, announced today that it has made several significant additions to its industry-leading family of products for the tire industry. Additions to the Mono-Lube® brand inlcude Mono-Lube® 1111, a high-performance tire curing bladder treatment, along with additional products for both its Mono-Lube 3000® series of inside tire paints and its Mono-Lube® 6000 series of outside tire paints.
Mono-Lube® 1111
Initial field tests have shown that tire curing bladders coated with Mono-Lube® 1111 can extend bladder life up to 40 percent, resulting in significant cost savings since the bladders would need to be replaced less frequently. Mono-Lube® 1111 cures in just one hour at room temperature and provides similar performance to coatings that are baked onto the surface of a curing bladder. It can be applied by various methods including brush, sponge or spray application.
Mono-Lube® 3000 Brand
The new, water-based Mono-Lube® 3000 inside tire paints are created from a unique blend of raw materials developed through Chem-Trend's advanced R&D process. By carefully balancing ingredient ratios, Chem-Trend is able to achieve reduced coating weights of approximately 30 percent, resulting in significant savings for its customers while providing an enhanced finished tire appearance, a critical attribute for premium tires. The unique chemistry also contributes to fewer inside tire paint-related manufacturing defects, increases curing bladder life significantly, and provides improved slip and air bleed during the curing process, a particular advantage for makers of run-flat and Ultra High Performance tires.
Mono-Lube® 6000 Brand
Engineered specifically for improved tire appearance, key attributes of the new, water-based Mono-Lube® 6000 family of outside tire paints include improved air bleed and rubber flow, along with faster dry time on uncured tires. Other attributes include reduced mould fouling and minimum impact on rubber-to-rubber adhesion.
