Celanese Announces Chemicals/Americas Management Structure

Rick Shaw, executive VP, Celanese Ltd. (Dallas, TX), the chemicals and acetate business of Hoechst, has announced the management structure of the Company's Chemicals/Americas organization. As president of the Chemicals/Americas division, Shaw has global responsibility for acetyls, acetyl derivatives and methanol, formaledhyde and polyols. Effective Jan. 1, 1999, the following individuals will report to him:

John O'Dwyer, business director, Acetyls Business Line
Kenneth Jones, business director, Acetyls Derivatives Business Line
Robert Gengelbach, business director, Methanol, Formaldehyde & Polyols Business Line
Gene Rackley, VP, Sales, Americas
Jerry Moore, VP, Operations and Technical.

The following individuals will report directly to Moore:

Dieter Peters, site director, Bay City, TX plant
Darrell Nordeen, site director, Bishop, TX plant
Paul Sessa, site director, Bucks, AL plant
James Alder, site director, Clear Lake, TX plant
Riley Kothmann, site director, Pampa, TX plant
Jerry Dunn, VP, Environment, Health and Safety
James Stokes, director, Capital Projects, Planning & Engineering
Antonio Rodriguez, manufacturing director, Celanese Mexicana and Ian Brownlie—in the capacity of site director, Edmonton, Alberta—will both report functionally to Moore.
Douglas Madden, VP, Business Services.

The following individuals will report directly to Madden:

Bruce Seward, VP, Human Resources
Douglas Gordon, VP and General Counsel
Jelle Groenink, VP, Information Technology. Groenink will also have global coordination responsibilities for SAP.
Joseph Wojcik, director, Order Fulfillment

Francisco Puente, CEO, Celanese Mexicana
