Heyl & Patterson, Inc.ers are for high temperature processing from 1000°-2100°F with controlled atmospheres utilizing heat sources of gas, oil, and electric. The Calciner can be used for iron oxide production, precious metals recovery, catalyst production, environmental clean-up, and specialty chemicals. Heyl & Patterson, Inc.ers process bulk materials continuously at medium to high temperatures with an indirect heat source. This guarantees complete separation of heat source and product during processing. The separation is an important and valuable advantage in industrial operations such as catalyst manufacturing, hydrocarbon processing, and chemical making. Heyl & Patterson, Inc.ing is typically used to process materials that are fine and dusty, sensitive to oxidization, combustible, explosive, potentially contaminating, and thermally sensitive. Special features that are frequently adapted to calciner installations include feed systems featuring closed hoppers or pressurized tanks, expandable and dust tight seals, special process atmospheres, and dust collection systems.

Each calciner is designed for specific requirements and unique specifications. Units can include electric or natural gas heat sources. Heat zones may be installed to provide independent zones of control and integral coolers may be attached to provide product cooling prior to discharge. Every calciner configuration is tested first in our calciner at our Pilot Plant Testing Lab.
