Bunting Magnetics Co., manufacturer of an extensive line of magnetic metal separation equipment, has introduced new Rare Earth Magnetic Liquid Traps engineered to protect product purity and equipment in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, printing, and other industries.

Bunting Magnetic Liquid Traps are designed to remove tramp metal from liquid processing and conveying lines. According to Bunting, they provide continuous, dependable permanent-magnet protection against tramp iron contamination. Configurations include cartridge-style, single plate-style, and dual plate-style traps. Models are available for sanitary and high-temperature applications. Self-Cleaning Cartridge-Style Traps offer fast-cleaning convenience and long-term maintenance savings.

Bunting Magnetic Liquid Traps come equipped with powerful, high-energy Neodymium magnets to separate ferrous and weakly magnetic tramp. Bunting reports that its high-strength Neodymium Rare Earth Magnets can capture small ferrous particles and weakly magnetic or work-hardened 300 series stainless steel fragments that might slip past less powerful separators. According to Bunting, its Liquid Traps can significantly reduce downtime, maintenance, and costly wear and tear on processing and production machinery.

Bunting Magnetic Liquid Traps are completely self-contained and require no electrical wires or cable. They can be used alone or in conjunction with metal detectors to ensure product purity before it is packaged or leaves the plant. When placed before sensitive processing equipment, Bunting Magnetic Liquid Traps can prevent costly damage by removing steel fragments that can wear or destroy moving parts. These Traps can also be used to indicate when equipment is worn or requires service by monitoring the type and amount of tramp metal collected.
