Beebe To Head Up CSC's Chemical, Oil And Gas Group
Michael Beebe has been promoted to president of Computer Sciences Corp.'s Chemical, Oil and Gas Group. He succeeds Thomas Williams who is retiring and will report to Van Honeycutt, CSC's chairman, president and CEO.
Prior to his appointment, Beebe served as global account executive for CSC's outsourcing contract with DuPont. The Chemical, Oil and Gas Group was formed after CSC won the Dupont contract to operate its global information systems and technology infrastructure and to provide Dupont with enterprise-wide solutions, such as SAP. Russ Owen, a vice president who formerly supported clients such as British Aerospace and CNA, succeeds Beebe as the DuPont global account executive.
Beebe joined CSC from General Dynamics in 1991 and began his CSC career as vice president of the Company's Western Region. In 1993, he joined CSC's Integrated Business Services Group and played a key role in securing outsourcing contracts with Sun Microsystems and Hughes Aircraft.
