Bayer Industry Services Makes U.S. Debut At PITTCON

The Analytics Department of Bayer Industry Services (BIS) will make its U.S. debut at the 2005 Pittsburgh Conference and Exposition (PITTCON), February 27 – March 4, 2005 in Orlando, Fla. BIS will showcase its range of analytical services and highlight its available chemical facilities throughout Germany.

The BIS exhibit will focus on the company's high-end services such as large-scale analytical equipment and regulatory studies. In addition to contract analytics, BIS will feature its process and plant safety services, substance dossiers, and ecological risk and fire testing assessments.

BIS also plans to use PITTCON to spotlight the Bayer Chemical Parks as ideal locations for businesses in the chemical industry. Situated at the heart of Europe's largest chemical manufacturing region in Germany, the Bayer Chemical Parks offer partners a fully developed infrastructure, customized services and reliable framework conditions. As a result, companies can utilize BIS's range of site services while focusing on their day-to-day core business activities.

Bayer Industry Services (BIS) is the owner and operator of the Bayer Chemical Park network with sites in Leverkusen, Dormagen, Krefeld-Uerdingen and Brunsbüttel. More than 35 manufacturing and service companies, including the three operational subgroups of Bayer AG, enjoy the benefits of being located in Germany's largest chemical park network. With approximately 6,800 employees, BIS provides ideal conditions for business with a variety of product networks and a comprehensive portfolio of services. These include environmental and technical services, environmental protection and safety, utilities, waste management, analytics, training and further education. BIS also offers some of these services to customers outside of the Chemical Parks.
