Backwashing Pressure Filters

The AF Series tubular backwashing pressure filters offer an economical alternative for fluid handling systems requiring continuous, uninterrupted flow.
The AF Series tubular backwashing pressure filters offer an economical alternative for fluid handling systems requiring continuous, uninterrupted flow.

Pressurized, unfiltered liquid flows from the common inlet header through permanent, cleanable filter elements. Filtered liquid discharges to the common outlet header. Unwanted solids are retained on the outside of the filter element to allow easy backwashing cleaning. Tubular filter elements are cleaned in place, one station at a time, to maintain continuous flow.

A three-way full ported ball valve arrangement keeps equipment cost in check by eliminating the need for costly and complex hardware. This simplified valving also requires a less costly automation package that can provide complete control of fluid flow and backwashing through the cycle.

The filters handle fluids pressurized as high as 250 psi. Four filter media options- wire mesh, perforated, slotted, and fabric- offer retention capability from 10 mesh (1650 micron) down to 1.0 micron.
