Ashland Distribution's Industrial Chemicals & Solvents Division Adds Price Increase
IC&S Division vice president and general manager William C. Merz explained that the charges are necessitated by increased costs associated with handling partial and combination loads of bulk and packaged products.
The additional charges are as follows. Multi-compartment, full tank truck deliveries (6,000 gals. or 44,000 lbs.) will incur a 1-ct/lb price increase. "Short" tank truck deliveries (less than 6,000 gals. or 44,000 lbs.) will increase by 1.5-cts/lb. All packaged product deliveries (drums, totes, dry goods) of less than 80 drums or 40,000 lbs. will incur a 1-ct/lb increase.
Customers also should be aware that IC&S' suppliers may impose a service charge for certain "rush orders." IC&S customer service representatives will coordinate these situations for all customers and explain any applicable charges.
