Largo, FL - The XR-Series of process gauges from AMETEK U.S. Gauge combines the proven safety, durability and performance of high-quality SOLFRUNT 1981 and 1986 process gauges with an AMETEK M&G diaphragm seal. The XR-Series features all-welded gauge-to-seal design and seamless Bourdon tubes that provide fewer leak paths than competitive models and superior burst or rupture pressure performance. Each is factory-filled and calibrated reducing installation time and cost.

There are two standard versions of the XR-Series:

  • XR-81 is made with USG Model 1981 gauge with a 316L stainless steel internals welded to an M&G 316L stainless steel diaphragm seal with ½" NPT process connection. The XR-81 is ideally suited for chemical, petrochemical, ethanol or biodiesel processing applications.
  • XR-86 is made with a USG Model 1986 gauge (MONEL internels) welded to an M&G MONEL diaphragm seal with ½" NPT connection. Applications for the XR-86, which is available with an optional yellow or orange phenolic case, include hydrogen sulfide, sour gas, alkaline pumps and other highly corrosive NACE-type applications.

Built on the solid foundation of the Models 1981 and 1986 SOLFRUNT process gauges, the XR Series features a solid front design that prevents internal components from becoming projectiles in event of a rupture and back plates that vent instead of blowing out. All XR-Series all-welded process gauges and diaphragm seals are backed by U.S. Gauge's 100-year experience in process measurement.

The units are available for quick delivery from U.S. Gauge's Largo, Florida, manufacturing distribution center or from its worldwide network of authorized distributors.
