ABB Instrumentation Schedules Regional Process Measurement and Control Seminars

ABB Instrumentation is scheduling regional Process Measurement and Control seminars across the U.S. The five-hour seminars, conducted by ABB Instrumentation control specialists, cover process measurements, final control devices, and basic control.

The Process Measurements segment discusses measurement methods, common problems, and the effect of measurement on the control loop, including temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical. The Final Control Device segment discusses considerations on the types and styles of control devices, from solenoids to motor-driven valves, and considerations for successful process control.

The Control Segment discusses each term of the P.I.D. controller and how each is applied in a process control loop. Ratio loops, cascade, feedforward, failsafe considerations, and using available features to solve difficult problems also are covered. In addition, attendees will build a typical measurement and control loop.

Seminars are being scheduled based on demand. For more information, contact Pam Rockow at ABB Instrumentation, P.O. Box 20550, Rochester, NY 14602-0550. Toll-Free Phone: (800)835-4222. Fax: (716)273-6207.
