The company offers a PCI DAP board optimized for real-time data acquisition and control. The 14-bit resolution DAP 5200a/526 has a 300 MHz onboard processor: an AMD K6-2, that the user controls from any Windows (95, 98, NT) system that contains the board. A user also can exercise control remotely from any other Windows system on the same network. Real-time functions in data acquisition include 1024-point FFT (0.8 milliseconds per block) and FIR filters (0.3 microsecond overhead per channel plus 20 nanoseconds per tap- for a total of 2.3 microseconds per output valve for a 100-tap filter, for example).

It has 32MB of onboard memory for data buffers, and uses DMA bus-mastering to transfer data to the PC; this, combined with onboard intelligence, protects an application from random operating system and network delays. Every model in the entire range of DAP boards has its own onboard intelligence implemented as DAPL, a multitasking real-time operating system optimized for high performance real-time data acquisition applications. The 5200a model, like other DAPs with onboard 32-bit processors, includes DAPL 2000- a full 32-bit implementation of DAPL, shipped with each board

The DAP 5200a provides 14-bit A/D resolution for its 16 onboard analog inputs, and 12-bit D/A resolution for its 2 onboard analog outputs. The onboard analog input channels sample at an overall 800k samples per second, and the 16 onboard digital input channels sample at an overall rate of 1.67M words per second. The two onboard analog output channels update at an overall 1M updates per second, and the 16 onboard digital output channels update at an overall 1.67M words per second.
