The high acid functional resin is soluble in water and can be used as a pigment dispersing and grind vehicle for waterbased coatings. Solutions of the product are effective to disperse both inorganic and organic pigments.
Dispersions can be made at high solids and low viscosity. The coatings formulator can eliminate of anionic and non-ionic surfactants that hinder a finished coatings water resistance.
