Fusion Launches Process Simulation For SACHEM

Austin, TX - Fusion Learning Systems, the premier provider of full-service custom learning solutions, announced the release of an innovative eLearning course for SACHEM, a manufacturer of highly pure chemical solutions. The course is in use at http://www.sacheminc.com/ industries/biotechnology/20-minute-interactive-elearning-course. and can be viewed by clicking on the "Play" button. Learners can choose to follow the entire course, or use the menu to go directly to the simulations.

The course includes a series of simulations designed to foster a deeper customer understanding of how SACHEM's ultra pure chemicals are used in the displacement chromatography process. Compelling visualizations convey procedures to the PhD-level target audience. The interactive learning approach conveys the detailed process and resulting benefits of SACHEM Isolis and Expell Displacers. Fusion used actual data to create animated representations of real-world displacement chromatography.

Because many scientists are accustomed to alternate chromatography processes, it is very important to accurately convey the unique displacement process, which has many advantages. The experiential eLearning approach vividly conveys the benefits and demonstrates proper usage of the product. "Our clients gain cumulative advantages by using our active eLearning approach to reach out to their customers," said Joel Hobbs, President of Fusion Learning Systems, "It's part marketing, part customer education, and part customer service. When customers understand how to use a product correctly, and get the most benefit from it, they are much more likely to be happy, repeat customers."

"We wanted to develop an on-line course that offers scientists worldwide the ability to easily access information, learn about and explore our technology at their convenience. Fusion worked with our scientists to develop a format for SACHEM's online program that guides users through the simple displacement procedure, allowing them to understand a series of operating parameters. By illustrating critical choices in setting up a successful displacement chromatography experiment, users gain a basic understanding of the technology, and then can apply and optimize displacement chromatography more efficiently in the lab or plant," stated Rosemary Hoffman, Director of SACHEM's Biotechnology Solutions Group.
