BiTherm International's SteamWatch eliminates the need for external energy or human intervention in monitoring steam loss

(As seen at Chem Show '97) BiTherm International's SteamWatch eliminates the need for external energy or human intervention in monitoring steam loss. As live steam is lost, an alarm signals, blinking a visual indicator. Current industry standards require an employee to personally check every single steam trap on an individual basis. This requires not only constant human vigilance, but creates inefficiencies because steam loss can occur immediately subsequent to an inspection and continue until the site is manually monitored once more, causing unnecessary loss in steam and dollars.

The device, which uses solar panels, works without human assistance on a 24-hour basis to identify and signal the loss of steam.
