PlantWeb Compliant PowerVue Fan/Damper Drive

A fan/damper drive offers Foundation fieldbus communications and precise digital accuracy. The DVC 5000 digital valve controller is coupled with the precision Power Positioners line to produce the PlantWeb compliant PowerVue Fan/Damper Drive.

The Foundation fieldbus protocol provides communications to other field devices and the DeltaV scalable process system, along with advanced control algorithm support, detailed actuator diagnostics and extensive process information. The drive also supports traditional 4-20 mA signals and the HART digital Field Communications Protocol.

The digital positioning system precisely locates the positioner's drive arm in response to a demand signal. This positioning system determines the actuator's position to less than 0.1 degree of rotation. This digital accuracy will not degrade over time. The rugged design of the product render the actuating system far less sensitive to dirt and other environmental factors than older technology, according to the company.

The fan/dampers are quipped with an air lock feature that automatically activates on the loss of the plant air supply.
