NEXCOAT 700, 2–Butyl –2–Ethyl-1, 3–Propanediol, or BEPD, serves partly the same markets as NEXCOAT 600, Neopentyl glycol, but offers added properties to resins such as:
- Excellent hydrolytic stability
- Lower viscosity
- Excellent solubility in hydrocarbons
- Decreased tendency to crystallisation
- Fast esterification
- Hardness/flexibility ratio
