Liquid Level Monitor Offered in Hastelloy C 276 for Monitoring Acids and Corrosive Chemicals

Mini SureSite(r) indicators from Gems Sensors, well known for providing highly visible, continuous liquid level monitoring, are now offered in Hastelloy C 276. Hastelloy versions withstand temperatures up to 300° F (149° C) and pressures up to 400 PSI (27 bar), making them ideal for chemical storage tanks or day tanks in the pharmaceutical, chemical and medical industries. Mini SureSites in this exotic, high-performance alloy are used to monitor acids and corrosive chemicals in the manufacturing process and are said to eliminate corrosion headaches these fluids typically cause with stainless steel. These rugged continuous level indicators are only available from Gems Sensors. The Mini SureSite remains affordable despite the high price of Hastelloy C 276. Its small and compact design, just 1.25" in diameter, provides users an economical way to utilize such an expensive yet compatible alloy. The float is made of PFA-coated 316 stainless steel.

Mihi SureSite indicators provide highly visible continuous liquid level monitoring and accurately indicate liquid level at a glance. Bi-colored, magnetically interlocked flags flip over as liquid rises exposing a bright orange side (other colors are available) visible for more than 100 feet. As liquid level lowers inside the tank, the flags flip back around to show the plain white side. The flags are completely isolated from the measured media, eliminating costly and dangerous leaks or spills.

Available in lengths to 20 feet or more, Mini SureSite indicators feature a variety of side or top/bottom connections. Stainless steel housings are also available for use with clean, low viscosity liquids and chemicals in a wide-range of industries including pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, food and beverages, and semiconductor manufacturing.

Options include switch modules for high-, low- or intermediate-level alarms or control logic; metal scales that attach to provide a numerical readout of liquid level in addition to flag indication; and continuous electrical output transmitters to remote receivers, recorders or controllers.
