Ateva EVA copolymers are found in hose and tubing for beverages and agricultural fertilizer, applications that require hose flexibility over a wide range of temperatures. EVA grades with 9% to 12% VA content are typically used and extruded through annular dies into sizing rings in vacuum tanks. EVA grades with 7% to 12% are used for spiral-wound vacuum and swimming pool hose. The spiral-wound method produces a hose with a flex-life and crush resistance. Chemical and environmental stress-crack resistance are critical, as is low toxicity.
