50 HP - Ultra High Shear Mixer Introduced By Ross

Charles Ross & Son Company has announced the introduction of the new model of the PreMax, one of the company's specialty high shear mixer designs.

The PreMax is a highly efficient mixer, often used to improve pigment dispersion prior to media milling. The PreMax contains a specially designed rotor/stator that creates high flow and shear rates. The PreMax has proven that it can in some cases eliminate the need for a media mill. In all cases, this mixer reduces the number of passes required to obtain high quality dispersions by up to 50% of that which is normally required. Typical applications include flexo and gravure inks, cosmetics, paints and specialty coatings.

The PreMax is available in a wide range of sizes up to 200 hp. The PreMax is also offered as a component of dual or triple shaft mixers that are also offered by the company.
