Dow Elastomers To Present Developments At SPE Automotive TPO Global Conference
Midland, MI - Dow Elastomers, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), will showcase its innovative TPO products and material science expertise at the 11th Annual SPE Automotive TPO Global Conference, held October 4-7, 2009, at the Best Western Sterling Inn in Sterling Heights, Mich. Dow's display area, where product and market experts will meet with show visitors, will be located at booth number 18.
Dow Elastomers will provide attendees with updates on ENGAGE Polyolefin Elastomers (POEs), a family of products used in a variety of applications – from interior applications, such as instrument panel skins and flooring; to exterior applications, such as bumper fascia and rocker panels.
Dow will also highlight the next generation product in the ENGAGE family – a new offering that provides excellent TPO toughening performance. This innovative product family is available as a free-flowing pellet form with bulk handling capability. This next generation of high-efficiency impact modifiers was developed to help TPO suppliers face the growing demand for increasing flexural modulus while retaining low temperature impact resistance for both interior and exterior applications.
At the technical session, Dow will present the paper titled "New Higher Impact Efficiency Elastomers for High Performance Rigid TPOs," by Kim L. Walton (Oct. 5, 2:00 p.m.)
Dow is a Platinum Sponsor of the 11th annual SPE Automotive TPO Global Conference.
Other automotive TPO products from Dow Elastomers include: INFUSE Olefin Block Copolymers, NORDEL Hydrocarbon Rubber, and VERSIFY Plastomers and Elastomers. For more information about Dow Elastomers' contributions to the automotive market, please visit: www.dowelastomers.com.
