Custom synthesis, the production of organic molecules for research and development, is a new service offering by Chemir Analytical Services. Chemir's chemical synthesis team, established in 1995, was formerly known as Gateway Chemical Technology and more recently as IQsynthesis. The group recently relocated to Chemir's laboratories in Maryland Heights, MO.
The team's wide custom synthesis experience also includes specialty and fine chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates and new chemical entities (including analogs, cold-labeled analogs, impurities, degradants, metabolites and bioorganic compounds), scaffolding for combinatorial chemistry in 1-100g scale, polymer synthesis (Anionic, Cationic and Ziegler-Natta Catalysis), analytical standards (certified by Chemir) and controlled substances (DEA Schedule I-IV). Additional services include novel route design, literature synthesis, basic building block chemistries, multi-step reaction schemes, and process research including design and scale-up.
