Duratech Inc.A9300 was designed and built to test for trace amounts of oil in water. It uses a high temperature furnace and platinum/ceramic catalyst to completely oxidize the sample to carbon dioxide. The carrier gas then carries the CO2 through a gas-liquid separator and into a non-dispersive infrared analyzer (NDIR). The concentration of CO2 is directly correlated to the carbon concentration of the sample. The results are sent to a host computer via RS-232.
