The Thermal Hydraulic Engines are designed to pump water and are an application of existing technology designed to use a variety of energy sources including various gas products, waste heat and solar energy.

Potential primary applications include:
Canal and well water pumping, water and wastewater treatment plants, potable water distribution systems, ground water recharge, petroleum product pumping, and other applications which require the pumping of fluids.

The company's technology approach is to demonstrate the product feasibility using solar energy as the heat source with natural gas or LP as an option. The secondary approach is in waste heat/co-generation applications where processed heat can be used for secondary applications while improving the performance of, for example, air conditioning systems. This is accomplished as the cooling fluid is cooled on the way to a cooling tower or radiating system. The results include the improvement of the air conditioning systems performance by pre-cooling while creating work in the form of fluid pumping or electrical generation.
