Monitor Technologies, LLCwave technology, the SFI Solids Flow Indicator is designed to provide non-contact detection of the flow of powders or granular solids moving through pneumatic lines, feeders, or gravity chutes. The indictor uses reflected energy to produce an analog output that indicates the relative amount of flow/no-flow conditions.
The indicator is a non-intrusive sensor containing no moving parts or probes that can wear out or break off in the material flow, ensuring process integrity and maintenance-free operation. According to the manufacturer, the device has exceptional sensitivity and is designed for easy set-up and calibration.
In addition, microwaves are largely unaffected by heat, humidity, ambient light, pressure, vacuum, high or low temperatures, or dust, making the indicator well suited for use in industrial environments.
