The Lechler M20 High Impact Tank Cleaning Machine is a gear-driven unit designed to clean the largest tanks in the most difficult applications. Though it has many imitators, there is none that surpasses the performance, service life, and maintenance thrift of this time-tested machine.
The M20 is available either with two or four solid stream nozzles. These nozzles rotate in a vertical plane on a hub, while the head to which the hub is attached rotates in a horizontal plane. Over a given cycle time, the machine systematically sweeps the entire tank in one complete revolution to clean the tank with powerful force. Cycle times are dependent upon the number of nozzles and the operating pressure. A four-nozzle unit has a shorter cycle time than a two-nozzle machine, and cycle times also decrease as operating pressure increases.
The M20 tank cleaning maching does not require high inlet pressure to operate effectively. It runs on liquid pressure alone and requires no external power source. Built to withstand long use and aggressive fluids, the M20 will last for many years with proper maintenance. Customers have told us that compared to competitive models, the M20 can operate for longer periods of time between maintenances and when maintenance is required, it is generally at a lower cost per incident.
To meet the specific needs of industries with long tanks, such as tank trucks and railcars, Lechler has recently developed a horizontal model with a special attachment for cleaning these tanks. This model throws far more water horizontally to the bulkheads of these tanks than our standard model with no attachment can, thus providing a faster and more effective cleaning.
