Model GFC Mass Flow Controllers are designed to indicate flowrates and control set flowrates of gases
Model GFC Mass Flow Controllers are designed to indicate flowrates and control set flowrates of gases. Flowrates of Mass Flow Controllers are unaffected by temperature and pressure variations within stated limitations. LCD readouts are supplied with direct reading readouts. Zero and span adjustments are conveniently accessible from the outside of transmitters.

FLOW MEDIA: Mass Flow Controllers will not operate with liquids. Only clean gases are allowed to enter into transmitters. Contaminated gases must be filtered to prevent the introduction of impediments into the sensor.

FLOW RANGES: Eighteen conveniently overlapping flowranges from 10 sml/min to 100sL/min (in terms of Nitrogen flow) are offered.

SENSOR TUBES: Straight capillary Sensor Tubes are made of type 316 stainless steel. The large ratio of length to inside diameter ensures laminar gas flow within the Sensor Tubes. Two precision windings heating the outside of the thin walled tubing serve as temperature sensing devices.

RESTRICTOR FLOW ELEMENTS: Restrictor Flow Elements (RFE), also known as flow splitters, serve to smooth the main stream of gas into laminar flow and split a small, fixed proportion of gas into the thermal Sensor Tube.

MATERIALS IN GAS CONTACT: a. Aluminum models GFC17, 37 and 47: anodized aluminum, 316 stainless steel, brass, and Viton® ® 0-rings. b. Stainless Steel models GFC17S, 37S and 47S: 316 stainless steel and Viton® 0-rings.

CIRCUIT PROTECTION: Circuit boards have built-in polarity reversal protection. Resettable fuses provide power input protection.

SET POINTS LOCAL: Setpoint via access window for built-in potentiometer. REMOTE setpoint via 0 to 5 Vdc or 4 to 20 mA analog signal.

CONTROL VALVES: Mass Flow Controller transmitters include an electromagnetic Control Valve. As a safety feature, the Control Valve is normally closed, thus in case of a power outage the flow of gas would be shut off
