Emerson Electric Acquires Kenonic Controls Ltd.

Emerson Electric Co. announced the acquisition of Kenonic Controls Ltd., a North America-based leader in industrial consulting, design and system integration.

Kenonic specializes in providing engineering services, project execution, and industry knowledge in the areas of hydrocarbons and energy, which will further expand the capabilities of Emerson's Performance Solutions division in providing an extensive range of services to dramatically improve the operational performance of industrial and process customers.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"Kenonic will serve as Emerson's Hydrocarbon and Energy Center of Excellence, joining a number of other recently formed Centers and further expanding our capabilities as a primary automation partner," said John Berra, senior vice president of Emerson Electric Co. "Through these Centers, we are helping customers improve asset utilization by leveraging people, technology, and partnerships."

Kenonic provides complete life cycle consulting, engineering, implementation, and maintenance services in the areas of:

  • Process automation
  • Information systems
  • Performance measurement
  • Telecommunications
  • Electric power technologies
  • Software products related to e-business and engineering

    Kenonic's 300-plus employees serve the oil and gas, hydrocarbon processing, pipeline, electric utility, water utility, and manufacturing industries. Kenonic enjoys a 28-year track record for reliability and leadership in its field, and operates in the United States, Canada, and around the world.

In addition, Emerson Performance Solutions works closely with the Emerson global sales networks such as Fisher-Rosemount, Westinghouse Process Controls, Liebert and Intellution.
