In both Quality Control and Research and Development in industry, knowledge of the density and refractive index is elemental for identifying or characterizing the samples.

Two very different examples of the DMA/RXA in use are the quality assurance of aromatizing agents and perfumes and applications in the oil industry.

The DMA/RXA is often used to analyze chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and drinks, etc.

Other typical customers are breweries, leading car manufacturers and the tobacco industry.

An Anton Paar DMA 4100, DMA 4500 or DMA 5000 determines the density. The refractive index is determined by a digital refractometer RXA 156 or RXA 170 from Dr. Kernchen.

All instruments have a built-in solid-state thermostat which guarantees exact thermostatting and therefore the highest measuring accuracy.
