AEA Technology Engineering Software - Hyprotech LTD. And DB Robinson & Associated LTD. Announce - Development of Thermodynamics Component
Norman, Oklahoma - February 28, 2000 - <%=company%> Engineering Software - Hyprotech Ltd. and DB Robinson & Associates Ltd. (DBR) today announced a strengthening of their long-term relationship to provide advanced thermodynamics to gas processing, refining, and oil & gas production customers worldwide. The new relationship will develop and market a state-of-the-art thermodynamics component based on Hyprotech's COM Thermo architecture, including Hyprotech's and DBR's advanced thermodynamics capabilities.
The announcement was made during the 50th Annual Laurance Reid Gas Conditioning Conference (LRGCC) at the University of Oklahoma, an annual showcase for major technological advances in gas processing and conditioning. The thermodynamics component will provide mutual customers with the most advanced thermodynamics available for development of in-house applications. It will also be used within the co-developers' engineering and simulation software products, including Hyprotech's HYSYS(r) and DBR's AMSIM(r).
"The relationship between Hyprotech and DBR has provided our customers with benefits for many years," said Wayne Sim, Director of Research and Development for Hyprotech. "By taking this relationship to the next level, the ability to rapidly translate thermodynamic advances into simulation technology will vastly improve our mutual capability to provide best-of-breed customer solutions."
Fred Otto, President and CEO of DBR, stated, "The combination of Hyprotech's software skills and DBR's software, research and fluid property expertise will create an unparalleled opportunity for development of advanced thermodynamic applications. This continues the tradition set by DBR and Hyprotech when AMSIM was first integrated into Hyprotech's HYSIM in 1987."
