These carriers can be supplied with material densities adjusted from 0.95 - 1.15 g/cm3.
Treatment processes working on the growth of micro-organism on floating carriers are increasingly used. The Biolox and Bioflow Rings are offered for those processes. These carriers can be supplied with material densities adjusted from 0.95 - 1.15 g/cm3.
The thin biofilm growing on the carriers in this process allows the use of carriers with much higher specific surface areas than in fixed beds.
