Pentair engaged in an optimization project with one of the top Biotechnology Companies in the US. The focus of the strategy was to conduct an in-field slipstream air test to validate the enhanced vapor separation performance associated with Pentair’s UltiSep® technology, in comparison to the existing conventional filter-coalescer. During the most humid summer months in the MidWest, the Biotechnology Company suffers severely from entrained water droplets reaching their fermenter. When water is introduced to the fermenter, it can cause extreme foaming within the vessel, resulting in valuable product losses due to a spillover effect. Product loss during the months of July, August and September has greatly impacting their plants production capabilities, as well as profitability
