A new, portable digital video system that makes inspection quicker and easier to perform has been introduced by Everest VIT, Inc. The unitized QuickView camera system, with a telescoping pole that extends out to 18 feet, allows a single operator to inspect inside tanks, vessels, manholes, and related wastewater and storm water lines, without the need to physically enter hazardous or confined spaces. The system includes a convenient digital video framegrabber that allows the inspector to store images and share inspection results via e-mail, as well as archive images for comparison at a future time.
Aside from its portability, the system is extremely durable and easy to use. It is equipped with a belt-mounted, rechargeable battery that enables the technician to perform inspections uninterrupted for up to 8 hours at a time. The belt also includes easy-to-use controls of all camera functions, including lighting, zoom and focus.
Its powerful 72:1 digital zoom camera is enclosed within clear anodized aluminum construction. It consists of a color CCD camera with dual spot or flood lights and is waterproof.
