Quillaja Extract

QUILLAJA EXTRACT LIQUID AND POWDER GENERAL INFORMATION PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS: Quillaja Extract Liquid is standardized to 50% Quillaja powder, by weight. The liquid provides ease of solution while elimination the dust of powder. The liquid is a dark, viscous syrup. The powder is a spray-dried, buff-colored product. Quillaja (liquid or powder) performs equally well at a 2 to 1 ratio in finished products. COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES: Berghausen Quillaja has been used in a variety of products for many years with consistent results. Our Quillaja (liquid and powder) will not impart the color or taste that is common in other commercially available Quillaja products. APPLICATIONS: Carbonated beverages, slush-type syrups, frozen carbonated beverages, bar mixes, beer, juices, wine coolers, schnapps and many other products needing foam. Small amounts (not enough to foam) can be added to beverages to give flavor enhancement and creaminess. Quillaja powder is an excellent product for hospital blood work (hemolysis) testing. Quillaja powder is also an excellent product for animal feeds and odor control. PACKAGING: The powder is packed in 25 and 50 pound poly-barrier, polylined fibre drums. The liquid is packed in 5 and 55 gallon polyethylene drums. Other packaging is available at an additional charge. STABILITY: Berghausen Quillaja Extract (both liquid and powder) has a shelf life in excess of two years without loss of foaming ability or product integrity. REGULATORY: Quillaja Saponaria is approved for use in food & beverages by the FDA under 21 CFR 172.510, FEMA #2973. CONTENTS: Extract of Quillay Bark, Sodium Benzoate & Phosphoric Acid.
