The company offers the KJT-270, a near-infrared component analyzer for use in laboratory and QA/QC applications. Targeted for applications requiring compositional analysis at affordable prices, it continues the company tradition of accurate, stable, easy-to-use instrumentation. The unit utilizes Near-Infrared Reflectance (NIR) technology to provide instant, non-contact, non-destructive analysis of most liquids and solids. As with all company NIR analyzers, this one utilizes "smart sensor" design that integrates calibration and memory storage, measurement display, and data output from within the sensor itself.

The company's unique multiple filter design provides the user with fully transferable calibrations. Users can calibrate a single system in one location and then ship fully calibrated and certified sensors to plants worldwide, by simply transferring the coefficient data only.

From R&D to packaging, the unit allows customers to measure moisture, fat/oil, protein, ethanol, and other organic substances during virtually any phase of manufacture. Industry-specific applications include: composition analysis for grain processors and pharmaceutical manufacturers, coat weight and basis weight in paper mills or web-based polymer plants, BTU content of coal and other fuels, and instant product identification/discrimination.

Investment in installation and training is protected as the unit utilizes the same measurement and calibration software as the standard KJT-230 and KJT-550 meters.
