Arabian American Receives Permit For South Hampton Plant Expansion

Sugar Land, TX /PRNewswire/ - Arabian American Development Co. (NYSE: ARSD), a leading provider of high purity specialty chemicals, today announced that the Company has received an environmental permit for construction of additional capacity at their South Hampton Resources plant in Silsbee, TX.

"We received the go-ahead from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to initiate construction," said Nick Carter, President and Chief Executive Officer of ARSD. "We can now move forward with building an additional process train at our Silsbee, TX facility. This expansion, scheduled to be completed in late 2015, will provide us with approximately 60% added capacity to meet future, expected demand. Our goal, as always, is to meet the needs of our customers. We have designed the additional C5 capacity to meet industry needs for the next four or five years."
