Brochure: Axial Hollow Cone Spray Nozzle (Series 214)
When a fine atomized spray is required for an application but compressed air is not an option, the Lechler Axial Hollow Cone spray nozzle can fill the bill.
In general, hollow cone patterns create the smallest droplets possible (and thus the finest mist) without the use of compressed air, all other factors being equal. While most hollow cone sprays are created within the swirl chambers of tangential nozzles (a right-angled nozzle), Lechler's two-piece Axial Hollow Cone nozzle has a unique design with a swirl insert which allows it to create a fine atomized hollow cone spray pattern in an axial (or straight-on) pattern. This could make inclusion of this nozzle into your application easier, without the need to add special piping to ensure a straight flow. With the Axial Hollow Cone, flow rates as low as 1.2 gph @ 40 psi are available. The swirl insert is removable for easy cleaning.
