Micromold Announces First Ptfe Cam-Lock, Quick-Connect Coupling; For Ptfe Threaded Piping Systems

Yonkers, NY – Micromold Products, Inc., a manufacturer of engineered plastic products for fluid flow since 1950, recently introduced the only cam-lock, quick-connect coupling made of PTFE, to extend its complete line of FLUOR-O-FLO PTFE threaded piping system components.

This coupling will find broad application for corrosive liquid flow applications both as a stand-alone product or when used as part of a PTFE threaded piping system -- in such industries as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, semi-conductors, water treatment, and paper and pulp.

This coupling neatly compliments the threaded piping system since it speeds installation by providing points in the system that are independent of thread tightening angles.

The coupling also provides an easy attachment point for components, such as tanks, that must be periodically removed or replaced. The internal FEP-encapsulated silicone o-rings ensure that all wetted parts are fluoropolymeric -- which ensures process purity and corrosion resistance in all process conditions.

The couplings are available in Schedule 80 pipe sizes from ½" to 4" with male and female NPT thread connection options. The cam locking levers are stainless steel and can be replaced if needed.

In addition to these new couplings, Micromold manufactures a complete line of threaded PTFE piping system fittings from elbows and tee's to Tri-clamp adapters and tank adapters. All fittings meet or exceed the pressure ratings of the PTFE piping to which they attach.

The Micromold system is especially suited to drain line applications for aggressive solvents, acids, alkalis, and unpredictable fluid mixtures. FLUOR-O-FLO is more cost effective than PTFE-lined steel, nickel alloy, Hastelloy, or exotic metals such as tantalum or zirconium.

Micromold Products, Inc. manufactures a broad line of fluid flow equipment – including pipe, tube and fittings; spacers, flanges and gaskets; reaction vessel accessories; valves; strainers; and tanks -- in many high-performance plastics including PTFE, PVDF, PFA, FEP, polypropylene, PEEK, nylon, PCTFE and UHMW polyethylene. In business since 1950, the company sells worldwide, primarily through distributors.
