Demystifying Thermal Fluid System Leakage And Flash And Fire Points
By Paratherm Corporation
Heat transfer oils are formulated to move fast and carry maximum heat at high temperatures, but the properties that will optimize these performance characteristics — low viscosity and high density — also complicate efforts to keep the fluids' molecules contained at operating temperatures. The very properties that make them good heat transfer media also make them prone to leakage.

Case Study: Material Feeding Solution Is 'Crystal' Clear
Steuben, a division of Corning, both of Corning, NY, manufactures fine lead crystal products. For the past 15 years, the various dry ingredients used to make the lead crystal were weighed, mixed, and batched offsite at a nearby Corning facility and then shipped to the Steuben facility for processing. However, because the production line's equipment was starting to age and the facility's space was needed for other projects, Corning decided to remove the production line from its facility and build a new automated production line in the Steuben facility.

| WEBINAR: Temperature-Modulated DSC Techniques (TMDSC) |
Wednesday, March 24
Temperature-modulated DSC techniques (TMDSC) are widely used in thermal analysis in industrial and university research laboratories to separate overlapping temperature-dependent and time-dependent thermal effects. Methods used up until now have overlaid the isothermal temperature or heating ramp with a (usually) sinusoidal temperature modulation of just one frequency (single frequency method). In contrast, TOPEM, the new, advanced, multifrequency temperature-modulation technique, uses a large number of different frequencies (multifrequency approach). Register for the Webinar today!
